The company

Who are we ?

Sparklin is the only French company that develops both a charging point supervision platform and its own charging solutions, ensuring reliable integration and a seamless transition to electric mobility.

Founded in March 2021 and based in Nantes, Sparklin now offers a comprehensive range of products and charging solutions designed to effectively meet charging needs, respect the electrical grid, and drastically reduce environmental costs.

Our journey began and continues with ambition, supported by our shareholders, who are also active operational partners in our development:

GNKGO: This Nantes-based group specializes in the design, engineering, and production of connected objects, serving as our trusted partner for the design and production of our charging solutions.

Trident Media Guard (TMG): Also based in Nantes, TMG specializes in data protection. Through close collaboration with their experienced teams, the Sparklin platform benefits from cutting-edge solutions in all matters related to GDPR data processing, cybersecurity, and more. TMG also hosts all our data on its own servers in France.

March 2021 : Sparklin creation

Sparklin was born from the desire for more sustainable, accessible, and secure electric mobility. In 2021, Thierry Jahier, a former EDF employee and electric mobility expert, co-founded Sparklin with Laurent Stephan.

Q1 2022: Spark 1 certified by EDF R&D lab

Thanks to a strategic partnership with EDF since our inception, our first solution, Spark 1, underwent rigorous testing by EDF's demanding R&D Lab to obtain certification.

Q2 2022 : First deployment of the Spark1 solution

The first deployment of our charging solution in the field marks the beginning of the commercialization of our offering.

Q1 2023 : Internalization of the supervision platform.

Sparklin decided to internalize all software developments related to its supervision platform to evolve its architecture and maintain control over its roadmap.

April 2024: Sparklin joins the GNKGO group.

Laurent Stephan becomes President and majority shareholder of Sparklin through his group, GNKGO. A new governance structure is established.

Aug. 2024: Expansion of the charging solutions range with Spark 2 and Spark 3.

Sparklin expands its range of charging solutions with the introduction of Spark 2, a 7.4 kW single-phase charging station, and Spark 3, which offers charging capabilities of up to 22 kW in three-phase.
