Who are we ?
Sparklin is the only French company that develops both a charging point supervision platform and its own charging solutions, ensuring reliable integration and a seamless transition to electric mobility.

Founded in March 2021 and based in Nantes, Sparklin now offers a comprehensive range of products and charging solutions designed to effectively meet charging needs, respect the electrical grid, and drastically reduce environmental costs.

GNKGO: This Nantes-based group specializes in the design, engineering, and production of connected objects, serving as our trusted partner for the design and production of our charging solutions.
Trident Media Guard (TMG): Also based in Nantes, TMG specializes in data protection. Through close collaboration with their experienced teams, the Sparklin platform benefits from cutting-edge solutions in all matters related to GDPR data processing, cybersecurity, and more. TMG also hosts all our data on its own servers in France.
History
March 2021 : Sparklin creation

Sparklin was born from the desire for more sustainable, accessible, and secure electric mobility. In 2021, Thierry Jahier, a former EDF employee and electric mobility expert, co-founded Sparklin with Laurent Stephan.
Q1 2022: Spark 1 certified by EDF R&D lab

Thanks to a strategic partnership with EDF since our inception, our first solution, Spark 1, underwent rigorous testing by EDF's demanding R&D Lab to obtain certification.
Q2 2022 : First deployment of the Spark1 solution

The first deployment of our charging solution in the field marks the beginning of the commercialization of our offering.
Q1 2023 : Internalization of the supervision platform.
Sparklin decided to internalize all software developments related to its supervision platform to evolve its architecture and maintain control over its roadmap.
April 2024: Sparklin joins the GNKGO group.

Laurent Stephan becomes President and majority shareholder of Sparklin through his group, GNKGO. A new governance structure is established.
Aug. 2024: Expansion of the charging solutions range with Spark 2 and Spark 3.

Sparklin expands its range of charging solutions with the introduction of Spark 2, a 7.4 kW single-phase charging station, and Spark 3, which offers charging capabilities of up to 22 kW in three-phase.
